ah, that's better

Am home, finalement. Holidays are just too stressful! Have been in France, all over the place. Quiet campsite in Verdelot (we were in a caravan though), with day trips to Epernay for champagne tasting ("hic") and a day in Paris, where we took in the "Africa Remix" exhibition at the Pompidou centre, had a gander at the Eiffel tower, and walked past Jarvis Cocker (of 90s Britpop band Pulp for those of us too young to recall) in Galerie Lafayette. Will put piccys up on msn space probably. Then drove all the way down France to Lake Annecy in the Alps. Another, busier campsite, this time with a pool, and E's friend G from home and her mum. Arrived in pouring rain, but the rest of the two weeks was mostly gorgeous hot sunshine. Fantabulous tan now, even with silly bikini tan lines. Ah well, at least they're covered up! spent time looking around Annecy old town, though it took ages to get there from Doussard by boat, which took ages to find. also went to Albertville, where i got K her birthday prezzie - hope she likes it! Also to Talloires, where we lazed on a sort of beach by the lake. Megeve in the final days too, which was very chichi (complete with Hermes store - in a ski village!). Didn't get round to parapenting (jumping off mountain attached to chap with a parachute), but did go to my first ever car show! Lots of engine vrumming competitions, and different cruising groups of the area just hanging around showing off their cars. Very impressive though. Highlight was the battered Honda Prelude (i think?) trouncing its competitor at vrumming, despite having obviously just come from a crash - was missing its right brake light, and much scuffing on the right hand side. Was fun though. Must also mention the VW van with Porsche wheels, and the modded beetle with huge wheels and hibiscus interior. Am back in Brum though now, with my A coming over last night, and time in the Country Girl (that's a pub) with the group. Was great catching up with peeps. Really did miss them all. Muchly looking forward to Leeds festy and seeing the backpacker soon. Woo! (Am updating from A's btw. How i love the internet!)

I've just realised, this is a message from the future. September 14th? What kind of witchcraft is this?

Just found out that the library is open through the summer so I've been wasting my time on the internet and checking emails. Though no-one has really sent me anything anyway :P Oh well! Bring on Leeeeds!

The dates onlivejournal have been playing me up. i tried updating a couple of days ago, and it refused to let me do it because i wasn't doing it correctly, or something. Grrr. There are lots of cool magazines on the first floor of the library, and don't forget the dvds behind the stairs! Just realised... you'll have left for Leeds now... Hmm... Ah well! enjoy!
